XCEL KEEPER CLUB
Start XCELLING Today
XCEL KEEPER CLUB was created for one reason, to provide high-level, personalized, and holistic training to goalkeepers of all levels in NYC. There are thousands of youth soccer players and teams, hundreds of clubs, but not enough training programs uniquely designed for keepers of all levels. XCEL KEEPER CLUB is looking to fill that void, not only with top-flight training but also a place where keepers of all levels can come to XCEL.
In today's game, goalkeepers are expected to do a lot more than make saves and catch the ball. They are expected to begin and sustain attacks, manage the team, and are under immense pressure most of the time. However, most goalkeeper training still centers around just the technical side of the game. Here at XCEL, our holistic approach strives to develop all sides of your game.
From private lessons to small group sessions, classes, video analysis, camps, clinics, and more, there is something for every level of goalkeeper here at XKC. Start Xceling today!

About Alex Fatovic
From Brooklyn to West Virginia and Back Again
Former LIU Brooklyn goalkeeper and current Columbia assistant coach Alex Fatovic brings an unheralded level of experience, education, and knowledge to XKC. Alex, a US Soccer Senior A Licensed coach, has developed his curriculum over time to focus on a holistic approach to goalkeeping, connecting all four phases of the game to simulate realistic game-like scenarios.
After Alex's playing days were over, it wasn't an automatic switch to coaching. However, Alex followed his passion and began coaching at Marshall University as a graduate assistant coach in 2011, eventually turning full-time in 2015.
During his eight years at Marshall University, Alex simultaneously helped create and build the largest youth soccer club in the state, West Virginia Futbol Club. Starting out as a marketing coordinator, Alex was able to grow a loosely affiliated grassroots club into a regional power, eventually becoming the executive director of WVFC. By the time Alex left, WVFC spanned the entire state of WV. Alex's teams won numerous State Cups and he was awarded the USYS East Region Coach of the Year award in 2019.
In the summer of 2019, Alex and his wife Liby returned to NYC when he accepted the assistant coach position at Columbia University. Residing in Queens and coaching for the famous BW Gottschee, Alex noticed a real void in the community: Professional, high level, and accessible goalkeeper training.
